Superstar Intern For Hire!

We recently hired an intern and gave him some tall orders…

We asked that he create a full operational manual, identify areas for improvement and present his go-forward recommendations — all within a few months. We thought the project would include a lot of one-on-one time, direction, structure and instruction. But, we were wrong.

We were truly amazed on Chris’ first day. He came in with a keen interest in improving operational efficiencies. Along with his training and operational background he proved to be the perfect man for the job. With his acute eye for detail, his drive to understand the ins/outs of our business, after a few months (and a lot of hard work on his part), he not only produced an operational manual that was above and beyond our expectations, he became a part of our team.

Chris is very kind and patient — with a sense of humor that was a must-have when working with our team. Nancy threw Chris into a variety of situations and he was always willing to jump in to help in any way possible.

Chris will be graduating at the end of December and we know the company that hires him will be certain to gain an honest, hard-working, bright and ambitious employee that will find ways to make their company more profitable and efficient.

We wanted to highlight Chris in order to encourage and help him on this journey to find a full-time job. Here is some more information about him, along with his other qualifications.

About Chris Prince

Chris graduated in 2003 from Brownstown Central High School and afterward began taking classes at IUPUC.  After a semester, he transferred to IU Southeast in New Albany, but in 2007, transferred back to IUPUC.  Like many, he changed his major several times, but stayed with Business since coming back to IUPUC.

He has spent the last five years at Schwarz Pharma, pharmaceutical company, in Seymour, Indiana.  Chris spent a year and a half in the packaging department reaching the level of line leader before moving to the production department.  There, he learned several areas quickly; some to the point of being the most trained on the shift and became a certified trainer. He got the opportunity to resign his position at Schwarz in order to take classes full-time with the goal of graduating in December of 2010.

Currently, he’s taking two summer classes and will be graduating at the end of 2010.  In the future, he hopes to use his degree to become an operations manager at a medium to large-sized company in manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.  Other areas of interest are the environmental and energy sectors.  Also as an option, he would like to start and operate his own business.

His hobbies include: watching football, going places with his family, playing poker and golf.  He also spends much of his time fixing things around the house.
